Store Manager
We are seeking a highly motivated retail professional to sell our womenswear and menswear collection at one of our UK shops.
Margaret Howell is a contemporary British clothing designer who has worked successfully in men’s and women’s clothing for over five decades. Today, Margaret Howell clothes are sold worldwide with 12 of our own shops in Europe, over 100 outlets in Japan and an established online business.
We are now looking for a Shop Manager who will be responsible for the successful day to day running of one of our central London shops. The successful candidate will fulfil operational procedures and drive forward performance of the shop floor team to deliver exceptional customer service in line with the Margaret Howell experience and with the aim of building the customer base and brand.
AS A SHOP MANAGER WITH MARGARET HOWELL, YOU WILL:
- Lead and inspire team’s engagement with customers, helping develop a customer approach in a manner that is in keeping with the Margaret Howell ethos.
- Recruit when needed and provide training across the team to ensure consistency and the highest standard of service is always maintained
- Manage the stock operations in the shop, liaising with the merchandising team
- Be responsible for various reports, analysing and compiling data to feed back in the monthly meetings
- Manage the shop team and operations to ensure smooth running of the shop, by planning correct staffing levels, managing performance and following Company policies and H&S regulations
- Achieve store’s targets by identifying and maximising opportunities to achieve and surpass KPIs
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE SHOULD:
- Have an excellent attention to detail, communication, time management and organisational skills
- Be proactive and uses initiative to problem solve
- Have an interest in sustainability
- Proven experience in driving sales and profitability in-store
HOURS
Full time - 35 hours per week (open to flexible working)
